I help writers achieve their dream. I do this in a multifaceted way through my editing services, manuscript assessments, coaching and mentoring, setting up and planning social media accounts and websites, facilitating writing groups and helping writing groups get off the ground with common beliefs and creation of safe spaces and through my writing retreats.
Manuscript assessment
A manuscript assessment provides writers who have at least two completed drafts of their manuscript feedback on the manuscript’s strengths and weaknesses and offer suggestions on improvement.
I do a full read of your manuscript looking cohesiveness, credibility, narrative structure, voice, character, plot and setting.
Editing
I provide three levels of editing for fiction and non fiction writers. These include a structural edit, a copyedit and a proofread.
Coaching and mentoring
I work with you to help you achieve your writing dreams. It may be as simple as understanding the blockers in your way and learning how to remove them or having someone to act as an accountability buddy in the form of a monthly catchup.
Social media and website
Having a social media presence is useful when looking for a publishing contract and engaging with your readers. Websites allow you to showcase your writing and provide your readers with some background to your stories. I work with you to help you set up your social media, create content planners and WordPress websites.
Facilitate writing groups
Writing groups are often the first place for new writers to practise the skill of writing and sharing their work. I facilitate writing groups in libraries and neighbourhood houses and provide safe and encouraging spaces for writers at all levels.
Writing retreats
The writing retreats are for writers at all stages. They currently run every two months in country Victoria.
