My beautiful dog has a hole in her eye. We now have to make a decision on what to do next. Aging creeps up on us. When I was first told on Wednesday I was numb about it. Matter of fact about it. As time has passed, I have a sense of bereavement that she’ll lose her eye. It makes me feel that the end of her life is no longer sneaking up on us but grabbing us from behind.
