Kicking goals

I can’t believe that we are nearly at the end February!

How is time passing so quickly? Next week I head off for my first retreat of the year and I’m really looking forward to meeting the five participants and seeing how I can help them get their writing done.

I’m a huge fan of goal setting as it helps create focus on where I am heading and through this, I know what work I need to do to get there.

At the start of the year, I set out my goals for the year. It’s a process I have talked about before and involves drawing icons in my diary to fill in as I go. Beautifully rewarding with that dopamine hit we all need as I watch the pictures filling with colour as the year goes by.

The first three writing retreats for this year are full! It is such a lovely thing to know that there are the people for the places. If you’ve been thinking about coming to a retreat, don’t wait too long!

I have made HUGE changes throughout my website, so if you haven’t had a look at it for a while, take a sticky beak and let me know in the comments.

Goals kicked so far this year

I am moving through my Cert IV in Life Coaching and last week completed a six-day coaching intensive with Authentic Education. The six days were exhausting and brilliant. The course delivered by Authentic Education gave me some brilliant techniques to use with clients to help shift limiting beliefs, conflicting values and trapped emotions that get in the way of them achieving their goals.

Since completing the course, I have created my Coaching and mentoring page and am keen to get going with coaching others (shout out if you would like some coaching!). The course gave me the chance to practise, practise, practise with the other participants and I now have an ongoing arrangement to continue this with a group of other graduates of the program.

In writerly news, I have begun sending out Un|Common Thread to agents to see if there is one that it will resonate with. I have to remind myself that I only need one agent or publisher to love it and that the industry is under the pump at the moment with what seems like a resurgence in book buying love in Australia. I have also cracked open Draft 0 of the rom com that I finished last year and am happy to report that it is…okay. It’s not brilliant, but there is something I can work with.

How are you going with your goals this year?

Get in touch if I can help you work toward your goal in a satisfying way through my 8 Week Breakthrough Results Program or traditional coaching.
