When I think about the writing retreats I’ve done with Meg, the first word that springs to mind is trust. Not only to hold space for the writing, and for me as a creative, but perhaps more importantly, genuine understanding and support for the world outside writing. Meg’s been organising our writing retreats for years and it has never ceased to amaze me how she makes it all come together so seamlessly. The retreat’s structure and setting facilitate immersive concentration I simply couldn’t get even if I were home alone. Meg’s insights on the work are deep, offering fresh points to explore. I leap at the opportunity to be involved in anything she offers and am forever grateful to be involved with such a generous soul!

I highly recommend Meg as an astute, results oriented editor. She produced very well-regarded materials for the 11th Biennial Conference of the Association for Academic Language and Learning in 2013, including the substantial Conference Program. The clear, logical layout and ease of identifying specific elements were commented on by many participants and her typeface decisions and text orientation on the pages added to this clarity and overall professional ‘look’. Despite very tight deadlines for printing, Meg’s professionalism ensured these deadlines were easily met. She was also a pleasure to work with. Meg was part of a trainee proofreading team that I managed for RMIT, proofing ADF training materials. She was great to work with, she met every deadline and her work was of a professional standard. There were a number of occasions when she stepped up to help me meet a particularly tight deadline; it was great to know I could rely on her for this.
