Writers needing to retreat this year? Join me at Retreat with Meg this October or November

Spots still available for writers needing to retreat this year

20–24 October (Monday–Friday) 20–23 November (Thursday–Sunday)

I’ve just returned from my first retreat at my new Retreat with Meg venue, Karma Kinglake and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s levelled up the entire experience! (You can watch my little reel of the retreat if you’re a visual person).

The writers were able to immerse themselves even more deeply in their work, with one woman noting: ‘I had a great time discussing, living and breathing all things ‘writing’ for a few glorious days on Retreat with Meg at Kinglake. I gained clarity with 1:1 coaching and from group discussions. Beautiful venue and catering.’ Another author, who’d been to previous retreats of mine, said that these retreats are always transformative.

For those who’ve been pondering whether to join me, bookings are flowing and I’m getting closer to capacity.

There are two retreats before the end of the year (yes, I’m already looking at next year’s calendar…)

Locking time away for your writing before the year ends allows you to tick off some of those writing deadlines or commitments you’ve made to yourself, or your publisher, editor or agent.

Picture yourself in your own private cottage with ensuite, settling into your dedicated writing space with fresh coffee, then losing yourself in your words while surrounded by nature just 1.5 hours from Melbourne. Whether you need to complete that structural edit, get stuck into a new draft, dream up a bunch of new poems or short stories, or tackle a new way of writing, Retreat with Meg is the perfect place for you to do this. Nothing else to do other than think, read, write or edit. For four or five solid days.

My retreats welcome writers at all stages of the writing journey and as one accomplished author who has been to many of my retreats said, “It doesn’t matter as writing is writing and I just love coming because I know I can get a whole lot of writing or editing done and get to talk about writing in the evenings.” Writing is writing. And it’s a joy to be in the company of other writers.

What you get at Retreat with Meg in Kinglake

  • Welcome and closing intention-setting workshops to frame your retreat experience
  • Optional deeper writing workshops on the middle days
  • Generous amounts of uninterrupted writing time
  • Communal connection from 6pm through dinner each evening

  • And a whole heap more.

As one participant said of the new place: “The individual accommodation and bathroom in each cottage was wonderful. The distance between cottages and group gathering room was convenient. The host’s catering was really delicious!!!”

As your trained mindset creativity coach and experienced workshop facilitator, I’m  there to support your writing journey while giving you the space to create. My small, intimate retreats (maximum 10 writers) create the perfect balance of community and focus. There really is something magical about dedicating focused time to your writing surrounded by like-minded souls.

If you’d like to know more, you can make a time to have a chat with me, email or call me, or come along to one of my info sessions coming up where you can ask questions and get a feel for what these retreats offer.

Small groups. Big transformations. Your writing journey awaits.
