Writers’ productivity workshop

Online writing support – build momentum and achieve your writing goals in my writers’ productivity workshop

A writer commented on a Thread the other day that she wondered what Writing Momentum was. Below, I explain why I set up this writers’ productivity workshop, what makes it unique and how you can find out more or join.

Writing Momentum, a writers’ productivity workshop, emerged from a simple yet powerful understanding: writers need dedicated time, accountability, and relevance to make meaningful progress on their work.

The origins

Created last year, Writing Momentum responds to two critical needs writers consistently expressed to me while at Retreats, during coaching or at writing workshops.

Writers need:

  • dedicated time to focus and write on their current projects
  • accountability that connects directly to their current projects.

How Writing Momentum works

I have created Writing Momentum as a structured, one-hour online writers’ productivity workshop held at 7 am Melbourne time every Wednesday.

What makes this writers’ productivity workshop unique

As an experience workshop facilitator, and accredited mindset and creativity coach, I lead the sessions with heart.

Session structure

I have structured the workshops to maximise writing time while creating a community and encouraging productivity through accountability.

  1. Welcome and inspiration (5-10 minutes)
    • participants are greeted with a carefully selected poem
    • discussion of the poem’s themes
    • prompts and questions to inspire and connect with current writing projects.
  2. Focused writing time (40 minutes)
    • participants write in a quiet, supportive online environment
    • microphones muted.
  3. Community check-in
    • share writing achievements
    • set commitments for the upcoming week.

Additional benefits

It is important to me to create community with the people I work with. Writing Momentum is no different. I have created a private online community where everyone I work with is welcome. Kind of like my virtual lounge room where you can all chat with each other.

In addition to the live writers’ productivity workshop, Writing Momentum members have access to:

  • recorded sessions for flexible participation
  • private online community for support and celebration.

Flexibility

I have made this writers’ productivity workshop as flexible as I can. In addition to the above benefits, members can chose one of two ways to participate:

All coaching clients are able to access Writing Momentum while they hold a current membership or are undertaking my signature Creative Empowerment 12-Week Coaching Program.
