Sustaining momentum group coaching masterclass
2 March @ 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm AEDT
Group coaching masterclasses are for creatives who want to strengthen their mindset and build sustainable creative practices.
This month we’ll explore: adapting your creative practice during busy, quiet, difficult, or transitional periods to sustain your momentum
Join me for monthly interactive sessions where we explore practical strategies for common creative challenges—from overcoming self-doubt and comparison to building courage, setting boundaries, and maintaining momentum through life’s different seasons.
Each masterclass combines teaching, reflection exercises, and community discussion, with dedicated time for your questions. Whether you’re navigating a creative transition, struggling with burnout, or simply want to grow alongside others who understand the creative journey, these sessions offer both tools and connection.

The challenge
Most creatives don’t quit because they lose talent. They quit because life changes.
Has your creative rhythm ever been disrupted by work demands, family responsibilities, illness, grief, burnout, or major life transitions? You’re not alone—and you don’t need to abandon your creative identity when life shifts.
What this masterclass is about
This isn’t about productivity hacks or forcing yourself to create in impossible circumstances. It’s about maintaining continuity of creative identity through all of life’s seasons—the busy ones, the healing ones, the transitional ones, and yes, even the survival ones.
The mindset shift
Creative people don’t have consistent output. They have consistent identity.
Instead of asking “How do I stay consistent?” we’ll explore “What does creativity look like in this season?”
Professionals create in ideal conditions. Lifelong creatives create in changing conditions.
Five practical strategies you’ll learn
1. Shrink the container, not the identity
When life gets bigger, the creative container must get smaller. You’ll design your “15-minute minimum” and “5-minute emergency practice”—because smaller containers preserve creative continuity better than abandoned ambitions.
2. Match the work to the season
Every season favours different types of creative work. Overwhelmed seasons are for collection. Healing seasons are for journaling. Building seasons are for structuring. Energetic seasons are for production. You’ll discover which mode fits your current life capacity—and recognise that momentum isn’t always about producing. Sometimes it’s about gathering.
3. Create seasonal systems (not rigid routines)
Rigid routines break when life shifts. Systems adapt. You’ll learn to build flexible systems using “anchor points” instead of routines that collapse under pressure. You’ll identify daily and weekly anchors that work with your current reality.
4. Separate identity from output
The fastest way to lose momentum is equating output with worth. Output fluctuates. Identity compounds. You’ll practice the reframe: “I am a creative even when I rest/work another job/care for someone/recover/doubt myself.”
5. Plan for the dip
Every creative arc has excitement, friction, doubt, and breakthrough. You’ll learn to expect friction instead of interpreting it as failure. You’ll identify your personal “dip signals” and pre-decide your response when resistance shows up.
What to expect during the session
Duration: 60 minutes
0–5 minutes: Opening and framing We’ll start with a relatable truth and define the different seasons of creative life—busy, healing, building, expansion, survival, and rest.
5–20 minutes: The mindset shift Understanding why consistent identity matters more than consistent output, with a guided reflection exercise to identify which season you’re in and what expectations you’re carrying from a previous one.
20–45 minutes: Five strategies with interactive exercises Each strategy includes real-world examples from working creatives (Elizabeth Gilbert, Toni Morrison, Ernest Hemingway, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Frida Kahlo, Steven Pressfield), plus practical exercises you can apply immediately.
45–60 minutes: Community Q&A Dedicated time for your questions about restarting after breaks, balancing ambition with capacity, sustaining creativity with demanding jobs, knowing when you need rest vs. discipline, and whatever else you’re wrestling with.
